Facility Tours

The A. Fern Norville Center (Kaufman County Children’s Emergency Shelter) welcomes the interest of our community.  We are excited to open our facility and grounds for tours to your business or organization and enlighten them to the needs and mission of the Shelter.  Our staff asks that you call for an appointment to tour the facility, and please remember that it is a working residence for many children.  Tours will be scheduled during week- days when the children are at school or are away from the facility on activity

            The children and staff at the Norville Center have really enjoyed the new gazebo in the playground area.  The Norville Foundation donated the funds for material and with a little help from some friends it was completed.  Jim Bownds Construction of Grays Prairie did most of the work, but some volunteers made a tremendous difference in the bottom line cost by donating their time and talents.  A big thanks to Ken Coberly of Wills Point, TX., Frank Brzozowski of Bedford, TX., and Mike Brooks of Crandall, TX., for all their help in completing this wonderful addition to our play area.
